Leitner Premium Lite and Premium Plus Wireless Headset Setup

Use this article to help you set up any LH200, 300, 500, or 600 series headset.

Handset Jack Setup:

Use this set-up if you do NOT have a headset button on your telephone or if you DO have a lifter to install! Before going through these steps, be sure to charge your new headset for 4 hours.

  1. Connect the power cord to both the headset base and a power outlet.
  2. Unplug the telephone receiver (curly cord) from the base of phone. Plug this into the HANDSET port in the LEITNER base.
  3. Plug one side of the connector cord that came with the headset (flat, black cord with a green sticker on one end) into the HANDSET jack of the telephone (where the curly cord used to be). Plug the other end into the GREEN PHONE JACK in the back of the LEITNER base.
  4. Set to switches underneath the Leitner base to 1/RHL.
  5. IF THERE IS NO LIFTER, then nothing will be plugged into the AUX jack (the largest jack in the center. The handset will need to be lifted each time you'd like to answer a call.

Headset Jack Setup:

Use this set-up if you DO have a headset button on your telephone or if you DO have an EHS cable to install! Before going through these steps, be sure to charge your new headset for 4 hours.

  1. Connect the power cord to both the headset base and a power outlet.
  2. Plug one side of the connector cord into the HEADSET jack of the telephone. Plug the other end into the GREEN PHONE JACK in the back of the LEITNER base.
  3. Set to switches underneath the Leitner base to 1/RHL (for Cisco phones use 4).
  4. IF THERE IS NO EHS CABLE, then nothing will be plugged into the AUX jack of the Leitner base
  5. IF THERE IS AN EHS CABLE, please see the Leitner Headsets Support Page for each specific EHS Cable Set Up.

  1. Connect the power cord to both the headset base and a power outlet.
  2. Plug the smaller end of the USB cord into your charging base and the other end into the computer.
  3. Ensure the input/output sound settings in your computer are set to "DECT Headset" or "Leitner headset".
