Updated by Kamika Royal on Jun 15, 2024

Your Jabra Engage 65/Engage 75 can connect to desk phones, computers, and cell phones. Below are instructions for setting it up with a desk phone.

Jabra Engage 75 Headset Base

Setup with Desk Phone: Headset Jack

  1. Plug the provided phone cord (with a blue sticker) and plug it into the blue phone port in the back of the base
  2. Plug the other end into the headset jack in the back of your telephone
  3. Remove the protective plastic from the headset and base
  4. Plug the power cord into the yellow port in the back of the headset base, then the other end into a power outlet or surge protector
  5. The screen will now ask if you want to set up your desk phone
  6. Position "yes" so that it is in the middle of the screen using the plus and minus buttons on the side of the screen. Once "yes" is centered, hit the check mark button below the screen
  7. In "Connect to desk phone", make sure "on" is centered, then hit the check mark
  8. In the next part, if you have an EHS cable, select DHSG. If you don't have one, either select "none" or "auto"
  9. You can now select the dial tone you would like to hear. Play around and find your favorite!

Setup with Desk Phone: Handset Jack

  1. Unplug the curly cord from the handset jack in the back of the phone and plug it into the handset jack in the back of the headset base in the grey port on the left side with the picture of a handset
  2. Plug the provided phone cord (with a blue sticker) and plug it into the blue phone port in the back of the base
  3. Plug the other end into the handset jack in the back of your telephone
  4. Remove the protective plastic from the headset and base
  5. Plug the power cord into the yellow port in the back of the headset base, then the other end into a power outlet or surge protector
  6. The screen will now ask if you want to set up your desk phone
  7. Position "yes" so that it is in the middle of the screen using the plus and minus buttons on the side of the screen. Once "yes" is centered, hit the check mark button below the screen
  8. In "Connect to desk phone", make sure "on" is centered, then hit the check mark
  9. In the next part, if you have a lifter, select GN1000. If you don't have one, either select "none" or "auto"

Basic Operation

  • To turn on the headset, just press the silver circle where the microphone connects to the ear pad. If you have a lifter or EHS cable, this will give you a dial tone or pick up an incoming call right away. Pressing that button again will end the call
  • If you don't have a lifter or an EHS cable, then you will hit the headset button on the phone, then turn the headset in most cases. This should give you a dial tone or answer the incoming call
  • If you're using the handset jack setup without a lifter, first pick up the handset, then turn the headset on to answer a call or get a dial tone. Hang up the handset to end the call
