Training with Leitner Corded Headsets

Updated by Kamika Royal on Sep 6, 2024

This article will tell you everything you'll need to set up two Leitner corded headsets for training.

What you'll need:

Leitner corded y-training cord with mute button

Set up:
  1. Plug the two headsets into the dual-side of the training cord (top of the Y)
  2. Plug the quick disconnect into the bottom of the training cord
  3. Plug the other end into the device you'll be training on (PC or Phone)
  4. Set the compat switches to the correct setting on the headsets
    1. If using on a PC both headsets will be on 2 & 3
    2. If using with a phone, check out this article

Note: This set up is incompatible when connecting into the HEADSET jack of a Cisco phone. When we mute the headset it ends up muting the speaker not the microphone.

If you wish to use it with a Cisco phone it is best to plug it into the HANDSET jack only while training. Once you are done you can remove the y-cord and plug your headset back into the headset jack.
