Yealink EHS (EHS 36) Breakdown and Setup

Yealink EHS36 will provide remote answering & ring detection (cat #2184)


What is in the box: Yealink adapter box, RJ12 Cord (short round cord) , RJ45 cord (short flat cord), 3.5mm DC Jack Cord, RJ9 Curly Cord, and Y-shaped Sennheiser cord (The top of the Y has an RJ9 and and RJ45, bottom of the Y has an RJ45) ***We will have an extra cords when finished no matter which headset you use!***


Sennheiser: Grab the adapter box, Y-shaped cable, and RJ12 cord (short round one)

  1. Connect the bottom of the y-cord into the green “phone” port in the cube (this will replace the regular connector cord)
  2. The top of the y-cord has 2 ends (The RJ45 is shorter than the RJ9 end). Connect the longer RJ9 cord into the HEADSET jack of Yealink phone and connect the RJ45 cord into the lefthand side of the Yealink box
  3. Plug the RJ12 cord into the right hand side of the Yealink box and the other end into the EXT or EHS port on the back of the Yealink phone
  4. Move D/S #1 down and ABC switch on A


Plantronics: Grab adapter box, 3.5mm DC jack, and RJ12 cord (short round one)

  1. Connect the connector cord into the back of the headset base and other end into the HEADSET jack of the Yealink phone. (this came with the headset base)
  2. Connect the 3.5mm DC jack into the headset base and other end into the lefthand side of the Yealink box
  3. Plug the RJ12 cord into the right hand side of the Yealink box and the other end into the EXT or EHS port on the back of the Yealink phone
  4. Compat on A

Leitner: Grab adapter box, RJ12 (short round cable), and RJ45 (short flat cable)

  1. Connect the connector cord into the back of the Leitner base (2nd jack to the right) and other end into the headset jack of the Yealink phone
  2. Connect the RJ45 cord into the left hand side of the adapter box and other end into the AUX port of the Leitner base
  3. Plug the RJ12 cord into the right-hand side of the Yealink box and the other end into the EXT or EHS port on the back of the Yealink phone
  4. Compat DHSG and 1
  5. Test! If this does not work, resync the headset.


Jabra: Grab adapter box, the RJ9 curly cord, RJ45 (short flat cord), RJ12 (short round cord)

  1. Plug the RJ9 curly cord into the TEL port in the Jabra base, and plug the other end into the HEADSET jack on the telephone
  2. Connect the RJ45 cord into the left hand side of the adapter box and other end into the AUX port of the Jabra base
  3. Plug the RJ12 cord into the right hand side of the Yealink box and the other end into the EXT or EHS port on the back of the Yealink phone
