This article will show you how to set up your Sennheiser DECT headset with a Yealink EHS 40 cable.
The Yealink EHS 40 cable is not compatible with Leitner headsets, for a Leitner DECT headset, we'd recommend instead the Leitner Electronic Hookswitch for Yealink Phones.
The Yealink EHS 40 is compatible with the following Yealink models:
SIP VP59, T58A, T57W, T53W, T54W, T53, T48S, T46S, T42S, T41S
NOTE: If an expansion module has been connected to the SIP- T58A, T57W, T54W, T53W, or T43 IP phone, you can connect the EHS40 to the expansion module
What is in the box: 1 Yealink adapter box with USB cord connection, 1 Sennheiser Y-cord, 1 Plantronics Y-cord, and 1 Jabra Y-cord. For the Sennheiser set-up you will not need the Plantronics or Jabra cables.
NOTE: If the Yealink EHS 40 does not immediately give ring detection, we may need to get to the web portal and do the following:
In the Yealink phone web portal > Features > Audio > Ringer Device for Headset, then choose Use Headset & Speaker. The below picture for your reference.
