Savi W740 Wireless Headset Set Up:

Set up through Handset Jack:

  1. Plug the connector cord into the large jack in the back of the unit.
  2. Unplug the curly cord from the phone and plug it into the center box of the connector cable (pictured on the right).
  3. Plug the other end of the connector cord into the HANDSET jack on the telephone.
  4. Plug in your power adaptor to the back of the unit, then to the wall/surge strip.
  5. Make sure the headset is in telephone mode (button with picture of office phone).
  6. ONLY W/LIFTER Plug the lifter cord into the rounded jack to the left of the large connector cord port.
  7. Set the compat on the base to A.

You’re done!

Note: You will have to use lift the handset on the telephone to answer calls if there is no lifter accessory on the phone.

For Headset Jack:

  1. Plug the connector cord into the large jack in the back of the unit. Leave the curly cord plugged into the phone.
  2. Plug the other end of this cord into the HEADSET jack on the telephone.
  3. Plug in your power adaptor to the back of the unit, then to the wall/surge strip.
  4. Make sure the headset is in telephone mode (button with picture of office phone).
  5. The compat for most telephones will be A. When you’re working with a Cisco telephone without an EHS cable, you’ll want to set the compat to D.

You’re done!

Note: You will have to press the Headset Button on the telephone to answer calls.

With an EHS Cable:

  1. Plug the double-connector end of the EHS cable into the back of the unit. Leave the curly cord plugged into the phone. Do not use the connector cord that came with the unit.
  2. Plug the other end of the EHS into the HEADSET jack of the telephone.
  3. Plug in your power adaptor to the back of the unit, then to the wall/surge strip.
  4. Make sure the headset is in telephone mode (button with picture of office phone).
  5. Set the compat on the base to A.

You’re done!

Note: You will NOT have to press the Headset Button on the telephone to answer calls. Just turn on your headset!

For Computer:

  1. Plug the headset into the computer via USB.
  2. Go into the computer’s sound settings and make sure the headset is set up as the default device in Playback and Recording (or in Sounds with the sliders for a Mac). Set all other sound devices to “disabled” in both Playback and Recording.
  3. Make sure the headset is on computer mode (button with picture of computer monitor).

You’re done! That’s it!

For Bluetooth:

  1. Put the headset into Bluetooth mode (middle button with picture of a cell phone).
  2. Press and hold the Bluetooth pairing button on the Savi base for
4 seconds until the light flashes red and blue. This is the large button in the front of the base in the center. It says “Plantronics.”
  3. Put your cell phone into Bluetooth pairing mode.
  4. The cell phone should see the headset. Select the headset to pair it to the Savi base.

You’re done! That’s it!
