My Headset Won't Work in Microsoft Edge

Updated by Kamika Royal on Nov 14, 2024

If you aren't getting any sound in your headset while using the Microsoft Edge browser (but your headset is working everywhere else on your computer), make sure your tab isn't muted!

There is a new feature on Edge called "Mute Tab" that, well, does just that. Here's how to turn it off and on:

To Mute Your Edge Tab, right-click on the tab and then select "Mute Tab" from the list of options. No sound will play in this tab.

To Unmute Your Tab, right-click on the tab and select "Unmute Tab" to turn off the mute feature.

Hopefully, this gets your headset back up and running with Microsoft Edge!
