Leitner Wireless Headsets and Dialpad Softphone: Enabling Call Control

Use these instructions to enable your Leitner headset to answer your Dialpad calls simply by using your Leitner’s on/off button. If you have any questions our friendly support team is here to help at 1-800-HEADSETS (432-3738)

Setting Up with Dialpad Desktop App

If you were using another source for your audio, you’ll need to configure the new headset in DialPad.

To do this, just plug in the desired headset and follow the prompts.

  1. Open your Dialpad desktop app
  2. Unplug any other USB headsets you may have connected
  3. Plug in your Leitner USB cord or dongle
  4. The window below will pop up, click on “Yes

Tip: Check the box beside ‘Don’t ask about this device again’ to ensure you don’t have to enable these permissions every time.

Once you get this done, you should have remote answering up to 350 feet away when you tap the ON/OFF button on your headset, so give it a shot and have fun!

Setting Up through Dialpad Web Browser Application

  1. Navigate to Profile Menu (click on your avatar)
  2. Navigate to Preferences

  3. Select Hardware Settings
  4. Navigate to Call Controls 
  5. Select Add Headset

  1. Select Leitner Headset from the list of supported headsets from the dialog box in your browser
  2. Select Connect

Once you get this done, you should have remote answering up to 350 feet away when you tap the ON/OFF button on your headset, so give it a shot and have fun!

Troubleshooting Tip: If your headset is not automatically recognized by your computer, you may need to check your Hardware Settings. Here's how to do that:

Under your Hardware Settings, you’ll now see the device listed in your Quick Device Selection Menu. Make sure the headset is listed as both Microphone and Speaker/Headset
