Leitner + Mac Error "USB accessories disabled. Using too much power to enable using USB device"

Updated by Kamika Royal on Aug 27, 2024

Here's what to do if your Leitner headset and the USB port on your Mac computer are not getting along

If you see an error message that reads "USB accessories disabled. Using too much power to enable using USB device."

  1. Unplug USB headset from the computer
  2. Restart the computer
  3. Plug the USB headset back in

If this does not work, take your headset to a different USB-comaptible computer (Mac or Windows) to see if it gives you the same error message. If it does, the headset is the issue. If not, then you may want to give your local Genius Bar a quick visit.
