To mute the headset, long press the volume down button (3 seconds). Press and hold again to unmute.
Talk indicator light (green light) on base will flash when muted.
You will hear 3 rapid beeps every 30 seconds to indicate that mute is on.
Time for a new headset? Many Plantronics CS530 users have switched to the Leitner LH280, which has a replaceable battery!
